Lotus Herbal Purestay Long-Lasting Face Powder comes in a big square-shaped plastic case. It has a big mirror, which can easily be used for touch-ups. The face powder also comes with a round sponge applicator inside the case. Compared with other face powders, this one seems to be bigger and heavier. However, I still carry it in my purse and haven’t faced any issues yet.
Look And Feel
I chose Shade No. C2, which is named as ‘Bright Angel’. It is a beige-colored compact powder that has a silky smooth texture. It blends effortlessly and gives a satiny finish. The product has a mild and pleasant aroma, which is not bothersome for women with sensitive noses.
My Take On Lotus Herbals PureStay Long-Lasting Face Powder (Bright Angel)
Lotus Herbals is a natural brand, and now they have launched their PureStay range, which is priced ridiculously. But after reading many fantastic reviews on the PureStay range, I wanted to purchase at least one thing. I ended up purchasing this face powder as my Lakme face powder came to an end. There are six shades available, and I bought this one because it was close to my skin tone.
There are six shades available, and I bought the shade “bright angel,” which perfectly suits my dusky complexion with yellow undertones. It thoroughly absorbs the skin without creating a chalky or cakey look, which is a plus. The face powder offers medium coverage. It works as a great makeup setting powder and provides a beautiful airbrushed finish. As I don’t apply foundation daily and it hides minor flaws and marks on my skin, I consider it suitable for daily use. The product also comes with SPF 20, which is ideal for protecting the skin from the damaging effects of the sun.

I have oily skin, and I love the matte finish it gives. However, I use face powders mostly to control excess oil on my face, and this product fails to do so effectively. It provides a matte finish, but the effects stay only for an hour, which is the biggest con. I’ve tried face powders from other popular brands like Maybelline and Lakme, and they controlled my excess facial oil for more than hours.
If you have dry skin or want a dewy finish, this face powder might disappoint you as it gives a temporary matte finish. But I would still recommend it to women with normal, dry, and combination skin as they do not need much oil control. It is a good face powder, but it is not suitable for very oily skin that needs powders with oil-controlling solid effects.

It gives a matte, airbrushed finish, but it is not for people with oily skin as it fails to control oil for more than 1 hour. However, people with dry and normal skin can give it a try.
