Our teeth are made of phosphates and calcium. Your saliva is constantly helping fight against the germs that build up in your teeth. When you rinse your mouth after eating anything, it helps prevent food particles from sticking onto your teeth that can go on to cause decay. Staining foods can be less harmful if you rinse your teeth after consuming them. Drinking a lot of water through the day will help your body generate a healthy amount of saliva which is sufficient to protect your teeth. So you see, a toothpaste is more so needed for the “supposed” cleaning and freshness that it offers. All you need to find to make your own toothpaste is for a creaming substance that will form the body of the toothpaste, a cleaning and bleaching agent to get rid of any deposits on the teeth and something to make your mouth smell fresh. That is all you will need in your toothpaste! You can use natural and organic products from your kitchen, the kind that you can even swallow safely, and make your own toothpaste.
