Sun protection is considered to be an essential part of skincare. Neglecting this part not only wreaks havoc on our skin but also takes a toll on our overall health. But most commercial sunscreen lotions or sunblock creams cause issues like heavy sweating, awkward white cast, etc. That’s why I’ve come up with this review today. The Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sun Block Cream (SPF 30, PA++) is one of the most popular suncare solutions available in the Indian market. Read on to know more about how it worked for me.

Ingredients:
Water, light liquid paraffin, hydrogenated polyisobutylene, aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, octyl methoxycinnamate, glycerin, oxybenzone, titanium dioxide, PEG 30 dipolyhydroxystearate, octyl hydroxy stearate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, isopropyl myristate, Cyclopentasiloxane, plum (PRUNUS COMMUNIS) extract, grape (VITIS VINIFERA) extract, hawthorn (CRATAEGUS) extract, magnesium sulphate, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylparaben Sodium, fragrance.
Packaging:
The sunblock cream comes in a bright orange-colored tube, which is very easy and convenient to use. It has an open flip cap, and it closes securely. The entire casing is made of good quality, sturdy plastic, and all necessary information regarding the product is mentioned. I carried it around, and it did not spill at all. Hence, the packaging is pretty travel-friendly. However, opaque packaging does not allow us to see how much of the cream is left inside.
Look And Feel:
The cream is neither too runny nor too creamy. It glides over the skin smoothly and gets absorbed into it quickly. Most importantly, it forms a thin layer on your skin rather than a thick one. It means that you can feel it, but you cannot see it. It also gives a super matte finish. The smell of the product is pleasant. It’s not disturbing or overpowering. It won’t stay long anyway, so you don’t have to worry much about it.
What The Product Claims To Offer:
Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sun Block Cream (SPF 30, PA++) shields your skin against harmful solar radiation by providing active triple protection. It consists of black plum extract, which is astringent and moisturizing, and titanium dioxide present in the cream helps block the solar radiations physically. As a result, the cream prevents sunburns, tanning, premature aging, and wrinkles. It can be applied to all body parts and is ideal for men and women.
My Experience About The Product:
I had terrible experiences with sunscreen lotions before using Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sun Block Cream (SPF 30, PA++). Every time I used a so-called ‘effective sunblock’, it either made my skin oily or left a white cast or, in the worst-case scenario, caused rashes. So, with all such horrible experiences in my basket, I avoided sunscreen lotions or sunblock creams altogether. But recently, I had to go for 2-day trekking, and I had no other option than to carry sunscreen with me to prevent the scorching heat from damaging my skin. So, I got this one and eventually fell in love with it with a heavy heart.
I applied this sun protection cream to my face on Day 1, and, to my surprise, I neither got tanned nor felt any burning sensation. Initially, I was worried about getting clogged pores, but I have been using it daily and never faced any problems. It settles on the skin in a thin layer and gives a matte finish. The finish is perfect, and it doesn’t leave a white cast behind like other sun protection creams.
You don’t need too much cream to cover all the exposed areas of your skin. A small quantity of product is enough for hands and legs. For me, this tube will last for 4 months easily. I think it stands pretty much up to the mark when it comes to the anti-sweat properties. I did not have any sweaty or greasy feelings during my use. However, it is not as waterproof as it claims to be. Therefore, I need to reapply it whenever it gets washed out with water. They also have another variant of SPF 70, which is best suited for intense summers.
How To Use:
Apply Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Block Cream liberally and evenly on the face and exposed parts of the body before exposure to Sun. The cream will not get washed/wiped with water/sweat.
Pros:
- Spreads easily
- Non-greasy, cream-based
- It gives skin a matte finish
- Sweatproof
- It doesn’t leave a white cast

Cons:

- Not waterproof
Rating:
4.5/5
Final Verdict:
I think this is a sunscreen lotion that can be used every day. It will give the much-needed protection against the sun.
