Elle 18 has always been a brand close to my heart. I have relied on it since my teenage, and the bonding is still strong. The ‘Color Pops’ range by Elle 18 impressed me very much as soon as I heard of it. I’ve tried quite a few shades from it, and ‘Hot Pink’ (Shade no. – 26) is just one of the best among them. Read on the review below to know how ‘HOT’ it actually is 🙂

Packaging:
It is a typical Elle 18 packaging with an added quotient of cuteness. The lipstick comes in a small black tube case with dark pink designs on it. The shape of the case is unique, and I love it. The black twist-top cover sets tightly on the black base making it a nice and convenient option to carry. The shape and size of the packaging are so that it can be slipped easily into your purse. The whole thing is sturdy enough and also very much hygienic.

My Take on Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick – Hot Pink:
The texture of Elle 18 Color Pops Hot Pink Lipstick is very smooth and creamy. Finding such a buttery soft lipstick, especially when you are on a budget, is really tough. It is so soft and creamy that the stick might break at the base point if you do not gently apply pressure during the application. The white inner core of the stick is made of cocoa butter, which is clearly visible from the outside. It is super moisturizing, and I really love this feature of Elle 18 Color Pops a lot. Because of this moisturizing core, my lips remain hydrated for a long time (no matter whether I’ve used lip balm or not). Amazing! No?
The shade is truly a ‘hot pink’ one, and I got delighted to see that it has a nice mauve undertone. Unless and until your complexion is too dusky, you are definitely going to rock it. A single swipe can add a pop of color to your lips, and you will be ready for a daytime outing in minutes. On the other hand, multiple swipes will give you a pair of bold lips, which is just perfect for a night party.
I found not-so-good about its low staying power (it fades away gradually and disappears almost within 3-4 hours) and the stain it leaves when I eat or drink anything. But still, I can’t help but love this product for its awesome moisturizing quality and high-end brand-like pigmentation. After all, we can’t expect more in as little as 110 bucks, right?
