Almonds are nuts that are a rich source of essential fatty acids, proteins, Vitamin E, Calcium and Magnesium. The oil that is extracted from the almonds helps keep the skin healthy and supple. The antioxidants and the vitamin E in the almond oil help in preventing wrinkles and soften the skin. Almonds, when ground and used as a scrub can help gently exfoliate the skin. Since almonds are nuts that are always present in your pantry, we show you some effective almond face packs that you can easily make to get super glowing skin.
Almond Face mask for pigmented skin
When ground, the almonds help slough off dry skin and also lighten the complexion. This way, they help get rid of blemishes and pigmentation in the skin. The milk and almond oil in the mask help moisturize your skin, but do not make it too oily. To make the face mask, you would need
- 4-5 almonds crushed or 1 tbsp almond meal
- 2-3 tbsp whole milk
- a few drops of almond oil .
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until you get a paste like consistency. Cleanse your skin and apply this mask on the face with your fingers. As you are applying it, gently rub it into the pigmented skin, like a scrub. Lie down for about 20 minutes with the mask on. Wipe it off with a wet wash cloth once done. Do this weekly for soft and pigmentation free skin.
Almond Face Pack for dry skin
To make this mask, you would need
- 4-5 almonds coarsely powdered
- 1 tsp oats
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp mashed banana
The healthy fats in the almonds and banana will help moisturize your dry skin. Oats not just exfoliate your skin but also make it really soft. Milk will gently cleanse the skin and help lighten your complexion too. Mix all the ingredients together. You can add a little more milk to get a paste like consistency. Now gently apply this paste on the face in circular motions, scrubbing away as you are applying it. Leave the mask on the face for about half an hour. Wipe off with a wet wash cloth after it dries out. Doing this every week will restore the natural oil balance of the skin and keep it supple.

Almond Face Pack for wrinkles
We use ground almonds and olive oil in this face mask to improve the elasticity of the skin. We also add some yogurt in the mix since yogurt helps remove fine lines and cure any skin infections. If you have oily skin, then you might want to skip this face mask since it is loaded with oils.
- 2 tbsp of coarse almond powder/ almond meal
- 1 tsp yogurt
- 1 tsp olive oil
Mix all the ingredients together to make a fine paste. Apply this on the skin in circular motions and leave it to dry for half an hour. At the end of half hour, you could dip a wash cloth in warm water and place it on your face for 5 minutes. This will help open up the pores and nourish your skin from within.

Almond Face Mask for Oily and acne prone skin
Who says you cannot use almonds for oily or acne prone skin. Just that, you need to make sure that you don’t use any other heavy oils along with it in the mask to ensure that you don’t over-moisturize your skin. So what we do is that we use almond powder along with honey and add little specks of cinnamon powder to make a fabulous mask for acne prone skin. The honey acts as a humectant and absorbs moisture from the air, the cinnamon is anti-bacterial and helps control acne.
- 2 tsp almond meal
- a large pinch of cinnamon powder
- 2 tsp honey
Mix them all together and make a paste. Apply it all over your skin and leave it for half an hour. Wash off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry. You will see that you skin has become soft without being overtly oily. Doing this regularly will help control acne too.
