Rice powder and its benefits:

Rice powder is basically uncooked rice which is ground into fine powder. Rice has a lot of properties that help in whitening the skin and they are as follows:

  • High concentration of PABA (para amino benzoic acid) is present in rice, which acts as a very good sunscreen. When it is consumed it increases our body’s Vitamin C content.
  • Ferulic acid and allantoin present in rice are also sun protecting agents. The ferulic acid is an antioxidant and allantoin is a good anti-inflammatory agent. It helps in repairing the skin and calming down the sunburn too. On topical application, rice powder inhibits tyrosinase which is good for the skin.
