Regulating your blood’s sugar is a job that many have, and others have no idea how to begin doing so. We think we have a normal working system that has good levels of food intake, a good metabolism and enjoys a regular work out so that our endocrine system does the rest of the job, but there are disorders that affect us without us realizing at first.

Our sugar levels in our blood can increase and decrease considerably for a period of time, some say that berberine reduces blood sugar  before we realize our body is being affected by it. Blood sugar constantly in high or low levels can develop more problems in our body; the pancreas, liver, skin, and heart are a few.

Finding a way to effectively regulate the levels of sugar in your blood is something we need to concern ourselves about. It’s a matter of importance to create a habit of constantly checking ourselves in the doctor, with regular checkups that make sure our body doesn’t suffer the strain of sugar level issues up to a point where we develop another condition. Our bodies can be influenced by a wide variety of reasons that could increase or decrease blood sugar, like a poor diet, distress and lack of physical activities.

Blood Sugar

When the human body struggles with handling the consequences arising from this sugar rollercoaster ride, it’s our job to seek a solution. Asides from the change in our diet habits and more attention to exercise, there are different kinds of medicines available for adults to take on a regular basis. They help balance the endocrines in your body so that every one of them does the job they are meant to do, and the high/low sugar level does not affect the rest of the organs.

How Frequently does my blood sugar get destabilised?

If type 1 diabetes is something that the body suffers, insulin levels are limited and, therefore, the substance must be injected regularly to combat this level of problem caused by sugar. Metformin is one of the most common chemical components that is prescribed to help with problems of this kind for them it is essential that this in these medications all this is to achieve an aid to adequately reduce the amount of glucose that your liver produces without forget to mention that this also helps your body to use insulin more appropriately.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is also a very common disease that benefits from the chemicals that regulate blood sugar. Between 2.2 and 26.7% of women have PCOS, and it affects the hormonal balance of the body and, therefore, develops insulin resistance, therefore taking this medication improves to reduce these health problems, therefore It is recommended that berberine be taken or medicated for these cases and more, when they are related to sugar problems.

Since the health goal is to constantly maintain the blood sugar level, berberine may be the best option now, since many groups of people need a regulator, and this chemical has additional properties that help it become an intake. regulate more than just glucose regulation. In many places it is considered a natural remedy to combat the problem of blood sugar.

What is Berberine?

Berberine is a chemical component that was used throughout history in China and India for anti-inflammatory purposes. It’s found in plants such as barberries, turmeric, cork, and goldenseal. Recent studies to berberine have focused on the alkaloid’s ability to alter our metabolism. Since there is a vast amount of people in our current world suffering from obesity, scientists study any possible solution for this worldwide concern.

A study [1] in 2010 found that berberine was as effective as drugs such as metformin for lowering blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. During the study in the berberine component, the results demonstrated its effectiveness as a blood sugar regulator, as it reverses the body’s insulin resistance and restores our ability to regulate the body’s blood sugar.

The alkaloid has been analyzed in several clinical studies which have shown that it has several pharmacological properties, such as anti-oxidation, blood pressure regulation, liver protection, and even helps fighting depression.

Is it Safe ? Is there any Possible Side effects?

The component even when it is natural and highly recommended can cause some side effects, all this is related and depending on certain circumstances, but it should not be left aside. Therefore, it is important that you are always in contact with your doctor and be properly informed to avoid major problems.

Berberine does not have a standard recommended dose, so they may vary widely. You should check the strength of the berberine you buy with its producer so that you take the proper amount of the chemical intake. Most of the studies used a dosage of 1,000–1,500 mg per day for berberine of patients; they can take three 500gr pills for each meal to have a complete balance in each of their intake.

Most studies have found little to no side effects of berberine [2]. However, it may cause digestive side effects, such as an upset stomach, constipation, or nausea. Berberine may also cause a headache. The side effects are minor and usually fade away once the body gets used to the chemical’s presence.

The warning is for very specific cases, like during pregnancy or breastfeeding to avoid any issues. A pregnant or breastfeeding woman should not use berberine without the approval of their doctor. Although studies have not shown that berberine is harmful to a developing fetus or breastfeeding baby, further proving that the process is safe will require several more in-depth analysis of the alkaloid. Berberine is safe to use and consume, and the benefits alongside the blood sugar regulation make it, for a certain amount of patients, make the process much easier to deal with.

The higher doses of berberine tend to show few side effects, so it is considerable that they are safe in the same way it does not hurt to always be in contact with your doctor. One of the most common symptoms when this dose is carried out is that of stomach upset, but they are not symptoms that generate an extreme health problem.
