We all know that acne is a certain condition in which the skin becomes inflamed and the redness resulted from it is basically a post-inflammatory symptom. Today let us have a look at some fast and effective remedies that can help you eliminate acne redness:

Ice Cube

As ice can reduce inflammation and related marks as well, use ice cubes for this purpose. Take an ice cube in a soft cotton towel or simply a paper towel and rub it on the red areas of your skin. Doing this twice every day will help you immensely. You can also replace this with an ice pack for getting the maximum outcome.

Tea Bag

A dry tea bag has zero effect on acne redness. What you have to do is to use up the tea bag first and press it on the affected area of your skin gently. It would not only diminish the redness of the skin but also heal the itching caused by it considerably. For the best results, use the tea bag at least once a day.

Lemon Juice

Lemon Juice is well-known for its bleaching effect. Hence, using it on your skin can help you get rid of any type of marks or pigmentation. Wet a cotton ball in some fresh lemon juice and apply it on the red area of your skin. Once it gets dried completely, wash your face with cold water. You will see the change just within 1 week of use.

Aspirin contains lots of salicylic acid, which is known to have excellent power of fighting against pigmentation. Take a couple of aspirin tablets, grind them thoroughly, and then form a thick paste by missing a little water with it. Spread this paste over the affected area of your skin and wait for 10 to 15 minutes. After that, wash off with fresh cold water. The result will be visible within 7 to 14 days.

Hydrocortisone Cream

When it comes to treating the redness from acne through OTC drugs, nothing can be better than a good hydrocortisone cream. All such creams contain a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, which plays a key role in reducing the red pigmentation of the skin. However, if you start using hydrocortisone cream without doctor’s prescription, make sure that you continue it up to a week only. Or else, it might induce adverse effects on your skin.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatment

If none of the aforementioned remedies work, seek a professional help and opt for the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. This chemical healing procedure is known to be extremely effective for treating post-inflammatory discolorations, such as acne redness.

So, just follow any of these remedies and the red spots on your face will go away soon.
