Are you bored of the same old two looks that you alternate with when it comes to styling your hair? With medium length hair that is neither here nor there, are you short of styling ideas? If you are thinking that all the fancy hairdos that you see on Pinterest are things that only a stylist can create, think again. We tell you some really simple ways in which you can transform your look by trying these easy everyday hairstyles for medium hair. Change the way you style your hair and see how it changes your look.
1. Simple Polished Ponytail
Nothing can get easier than this hairdo. Part your hair at the center. Back comb hair if you want some volume at the crown. Now sweep hair on either side to make a ponytail. Secure it with a band. Now, take a section of your hair from the underside of ponytail and twist your hair to wrap it around the band. Pin it at the end.
2. Rodarte inspired braids
This hairstyle draws inspiration from the hairdo at Rodarte’s fashion show. Take a portion of hair on each side and make two braids, one on each side. Pin the braids back and make a small rose by by rolling the ends. Now, take a section of hair under the rose and braid it so that it appears like a continuous braid that is holding the hair in place. All set to go.
3. Braided bun
This hairstyle is actually very simple. All you need to do is comb your hair back and make a bun out of it, just near the ear on a side. Before making the bun, take a section of hair and braid it. Wrap this braid around the bun and pin it into place.
4. Side Ponytail
To get this look, ruffle up your hair after applying some volumizing cream. If you have bangs, then let them loose, to frame your hair. Pull in the rest of the hair to one side, under the ear and secure with an elastic. Let the ponytail fall on your shoulders.
5. Twisted Hairdo
This hairstyle works great for straight hair. Part your hair at the side and on the side that has more hair, comb back the hair at the crown to get more volume. Now twist this section of hair and pin it on one side. This not just holds your hair in place, but also gives you a great style.
6. Side Braid
Part your hair on the side and pull your hair to the side that has more hair. Divide your hair into 3 sections and braid it loosely, such that the braid starts at the shoulders.
7. Half up half down
If you think getting the Angelina Jolie look is difficult, we tell you how to do it easily. Part your hair on the side but the partition should not be evident. Let your wispy bangs loose and pin back the sections of hair on the crown at the back. The rest of the hair falls loose. You can curl the hair at the ends to get a really sophisticated look.
8. Katie Holmes Updo
This loose bun updo is really simple to put together. Simply gather all your hair and secure it with an elastic into a high ponytail. Now twist it into a bun and secure it with bobby pins. That is about it. Simple, isn’t it?
9. Puffed Hair
To get this look, comb back the front section of your hair, twist it and pin it on your crown with small pins. Push the pinned hair such that it creates a puffed look. Let the remaining hair loose.
10. Fishtail Braid
Fishtail Braids are a rage these days. While it looks complicated, it is actually simply about taking equal volume strands from either side of your hair and making overlapping braids. There are plenty of videos online from which you can learn it step by step and master the art of making a fishtail braid. Once done, you can try this look once a week for a change.
