The deodorant that you spray every morning may not really be enough to help you fight body odour all day long. When you put in so much effort to look good, it is only natural for you to also smell good and feel good.
The body naturally produces sweat. The extent of sweating depends on a variety of factors such as diet, weight, the kind of clothes worn and general hygiene levels. It is not possible or healthy to altogether control sweating. But what is possible is to fight any kind of body odour that is produced when we sweat. There are many home-made remedies that will help you fight body odour.

1. Watch what you eat
This is the most important cause of foul body odour. Extremely spicy and fatty food can lead to foul odour generated when we sweat. The way to control it is to consume mildly spiced foods and lots of green and fibres in our diet. Anything that is fresh and less processed is great for the body.
2. Baking soda
Baking soda is excellent at absorbing any odours. Keeping a box of baking soda in the fridge is known to keep it odour free. The same way, applying a small amount of baking soda on the arm pits and on the feet after the bath, followed by some talcum powder is a great way to combat body odour.
3. Apple cider vinegar
Applying apple cider vinegar in the armpits can help you fight body odour. If you find the smell of ACV itself to be too strong, then you can dilute it in water and wash your armpits with the water.

4. Keep yourself clean and dry
Wear loose fitting clothes. Do not let any sweat get accumulated in your body folds or between your toes. Use talcum powders generously, preferably something anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Shave or wax your underarms regularly. Bathe regularly with anti-bacterial soap. Scrub your underarms well to remove any build up.
Rosemary is a fresh smelling herb that helps combat body odour. If you can get your hands on rosemary essential oil, mix a couple of drops of this to coconut oil and apply it on your armpits. If you find fresh rosemary, then add some to your bath water.
6. Tea tree oil
The anti-microbial properties in tea tree oil can help fight bacteria that cause body odour. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to a cup of water and pour this into a spray can. Spray your underarms with this liquid after bath in order to smell fresh!

7. Green supplements
Chlorophyll, which is present in all the green leafy vegetables, is an excellent deodorizer. So include a lot of greens in your food or have some chlorophyll supplements to naturally rid your body of smelly sweat.
8. Drink green tea
If you are a heavy duty coffee or tea drinker, then you will have problems with body odour. The caffeine in these drinks increases the activity of the apocrine glands that produces sweat. Take to green tea and remain refreshed and healthy.

9. Slice of lime
Try rubbing a slice of lime under the arms soon after your bath. It works great to reduce body odour and also control sweating.
10. Home-made solid deodorant
Rather than resorting to a store bought deodorant that has plenty of chemicals, try a home-made deodorant. Just mix 1/4 cup of baking powder and ¼ cup corn starch with a few drops of tea tree oil and 4 tbsp of coconut oil. Make a thick paste out of this. You can use this solid deodorant to smell great and also to control sweating!
