Relax Your Feet with These Amazing Homemade Foot Soak Recipes

Feet are the most avoided part of our body for some reason. A foot is literally taking all the dirt and pain yet we hardly pay any attention to it. It is quite possible that the busy life style does not give you enough time to give your feet the required pampering however at the end of the day when you are done with all your work, you should spare some time and just give yourself a foot soak, trust me it will not only be soothing for your feet but for your mind too. After the hard day, the foot feels tired and sometimes smells bad too. So it does deserve a small rejuvenation after all.

Well think about it, you don’t need to go to a spa, spend time and money! You can be at the comfort of your home and relax while giving your feet what it deserves the most.

So let us get on to know some yummy foot soak recipes:

1) Basic foot soak with Epsom salt:


  • Warm water
  • Epsom salt- 1 cup
  • Baking soda- 1 spoon
  • Essential oil

Directions: Fill the container or a basin with warm water, make sure that the basin is large enough and the water is just filling 3/4th of the tub. Add the Epsom salt and mix it well. Now add baking soda, this will take care of the odour in the foot. Baking soda also makes the pH of your skin more acidic which will prevent the bacteria in the foot. Add a few drops of essential oil to add that fragrance and moisturize your skin. Soak your feet inside the basin and relax. You can keep your feet in side for around 20 minutes until the water becomes cold. Once you finish apply moisturizer on the feet.

2) Lime and mint foot soak


  • Lemon
  • Mint leaves
  • Epsom salt
  • Rose petals
  • Sweet almond oil
  • Warm water

Directions: Take a basin, add Epsom salt, squeeze a lemon juice, and add the mint leaves and rose petals then pour warm water into it. Add a few drops of sweet almond oil. Now you can soak your feet in this water for good 20 minutes. Mint leaves, rose petals as well as lemon are known to be revitalizing and refreshing the skin. Sweet almond oil is great to moisturize the skin.

3) Vinegar foot soak:


  • Warm water- 5-8 cups
  • Apple Cider Vinegar- 1/2 cup

Directions: The basin needs to be filled with -8 cups of warm water, to that add ½ cup of white distilled or apple cider vinegar. Mix it well and soak your feet in it for 20 minutes.

  • Lavender Vanilla foot soak:
  • Epsom salt- 3 cups
  • Lavender essential oil- 5-10 drops
  • Dried lavender flowers – 2 tbsp.
  • Vanilla essential oil- 20-30 drops

Directions: Mix all the ingredients together and pour it into bottle and shake it well. You can store this mixture and whenever you want a foot soak just pour warm water in the basin and pour 3 spoons of the Lavender Vanilla foot soak mixture into it and soak your foot for 20 minutes.

4) Relaxing Foot Soak:


  • Epsom salt- 1 cup
  • Chamomile tea bag- 1
  • Peppermint tea bag-1
  • Warm water

Directions: Fill 3/4th of the basin with warm water; now add the Epsom salt as well as the tea bags. Soak your feet for 30 minutes and then moisturize your feet well.

5) Foot soak to combat stinky feet:


  • Epsom salt- ⅔ cup
  • Coconut Oil- 1 ½ tablespoons
  • Raw sugar- ⅓ cup
  • Peppermint Oil- 5-6 drops
  • Dried peppermint-½ tablespoon
  • Tea Tree Oil- 4 drops

Directions: Take a plastic container and add the ingredients into it and mix it well. This mixture can be stored if kept in clean and dry place. To use it take warm water in a basin and put 1/3rd of the mixture into it. Sit and relax for around 20 minutes.
