Latest Trend in Body Sculpting – Liposonix and CoolSculpting

The present age is obsessed with the need of gaining a great personality which has given rise to new technologies and products of slimming too. Body Sculpting is one of them. Another innovation in terms of Body Sculpting that has been grabbing the eyeballs is Liposonix and CoolSculpting. Both are meant for fat reduction but both of their approaches are different.

Let know more about Liposonix and CoolSculpting

Liposonix and CoolSculpting are FDA-approved noninvasive technologies for the reduction of localized fat tissue which is possibly disproportionate when in comparison to the rest of the body. Both the procedures are very effective and give you the desired lean body with major fat loss. The CoolSculpting works on larger amount of fat which is because this procedure requires particular applicator which needs a considerable amount to cling to. This means you can get rid of your love handles, belly fat etc., through CoolSculpting. Liposonix meanwhile works on smaller areas; therefore people with larger fat accumulation can first go for CoolSculpting and then opt for Liposonix. Liposonix is mainly used for the fat reduction of areas like arms, legs and buttocks.

The procedure:

In CoolSculpting, the device destroys the fat cells without destroying the other cells that surrounds it. Normal body temperature is 98.6 F, whereas the fat cell freezes when it is 53 F. The skin as well as muscles freezes at 32 F. During CoolSculpting, the tissue temperature is brought down to 53 F with the help of a cooling plate, this helps to damage the fat. Liposonix device makes use of high frequency ultrasound, which unfortunately is not selective in its process; it can heal as well as damage any tissue wherever the beam is targeted. Liposonix takes about one hour for the procedure, meanwhile CoolSculpting takes minimum 4 hours of treatment.

The aftereffects:

Liposonix and CoolSculpting might cause post treatment bruising in many patients therefore patients would have to avoid consuming alcohol, fish oil, Vitamin E, Aspirin, ibuprofen at least a week prior to the treatment.

Liposonix vs CoolSculpting

The most obvious question in everyone’s mind is which is better after all, Liposonix or CoolSculpting? The one big advantage with Liposonix is that it can be done on many parts of the body like arms, legs and buttocks whereas CoolSculpting is limited to love handles, belly and back. Results seem to be quicker with Liposonix when compared to CoolSculpting. Meanwhile CoolSculpting is an absolutely painless procedure but Liposonix is very painful process. Liposonix may require the person to take powerful painkillers an hour prior to the procedure meanwhile CoolSculpting puts the patients at ease as they hardly know any pain while they are through the procedure.

The results of the Liposonix procedure are very significant but it can take time, whereas in CoolSculpting, the 20 percent fat reduction result can be noticed within first four months of the treatment. CoolSculpting has its restriction in terms of treatment as per the applicator available that fit the region that needs to be treated. Liposonix makes use of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) that focuses on a half inch thick and a half inch deep. CoolSculpting meanwhile focuses on larger fat reduction. Both are effective however Liposonix seems to be more precise. But as far as the proven results are concerned CoolSculpting has many researches and reviews to prove it better.

Cost:

CoolSculpting might cost approximately $2,600 for two areas and LipoSonix costs $2,500 for four areas.

With Liposonix, a practitioner will be able to reduce fat from your lovehandles and abdomen in just an hour. In terms of cost, both are same however when it comes to versatility, LipoSonix wins as it will be able to reduce fat from legs and buttocks areas too which is not possible with CoolSculpting.
